See how we take care of our customers' experience with reliability, top quality and more
We are a couple traveling with our child, and we stayed at Café Buransh for one night. It was an absolutely wonderful experience from check-in to checkout.
The stay is beautifully designed with a true pahadi theme, and the rooms are crafted with great care and detail. The views from the property are stunning and make the entire experience even more peaceful.
Their hospitality is exceptional — full of love, warmth, and genuine care. They even helped us with our luggage all the way from Sari village to the stay, both during check-in and checkout, which was extremely thoughtful.
The food was tasty, simple, and homemade, just like you would want in the mountains.
Overall, this is a highly recommended stay if you are looking for a scenic, serene, and peaceful experience in the Himalayas.

I recently stayed at Cafe Buransh with my family and I must say that,if you're looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature then this is a must-visit place.
Fortunately being in the post monsoon season the place was blooming with wild flowers.
The pahadi rooms are rustic but cosy and adequately equipped.
Take a hike through the nearby trails, and then unwind with a cup of coffee or a hearty meal.
Highlights
- Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys especially sunrise and sunset views on Chandrashila.
- Delicious food with a focus on local ingredients
- Warm and welcoming hospitality
- Cozy and comfortable stay
- Perfect spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiast
- You are always under the watchful eyes of the Gentle Giant Simba

To say the least, Cafe Buransh is an experience. It has been maintained very well and the way the team provides you services and comfort is pretty amazing. The views are breathtaking from any place from here. It is en-route to Deoria Tal trek which means for nature lovers it is just stepping out and you can choose any trail to be with your family/friends/yourself. I have visited this place more than once and always long to be there one more time. Team is very sensitive about nature and cleanliness of mountains. It is always a pleasant and engaging conversation with them. It has a small library but perfect arrangement to sit and enjoy time with oneself. Hope to be there soon... yet another time. :)

Cafe Buransh is so far the best place I have stayed in my Uttarakhand trip. It's located in this amazingly untouched place called Saari village. The rooms are beautifully made and the best was that its got the whole organic look. It's made with mud and organic stuff which actually helps in keeping the room warm during the cold winters. I was truly amazed by the entire architecture. Also that it's on the trekking route for Deoriatal which is definitely a location to be visited. Also the helpers, Rakesh and Hanumant are incredible guys who welcomed us with soo much love and they were just really nice people personally. I spent a beautiful new years Eve, thanks for hosting us cafe Buransh. Had a lovely time here, a 10/10 for sure :)

A lovely place located at a beautiful village nestled in the mountains, away from the crowded road of the major tourist locations.
Would recommend staying for at least 2-3 days or more to do justice to the experience. You can plan nearby treks and darshans from this base too. The rooms are clean, well maintained and spacious and the staff is absolutely prompt. Food is cooked fresh and you will get to try local pulses and vegetables too.
Highly recommended this place for staycations, work getaways or even a family trip. Go for a weekend, the longer the better and enjoy the quiet, the hikes and nature.
CARRY YOUR OWN KACHRA IN YOUR POCKET UNTIL YOU SEE A DUSTBIN ESPECIALLY IN UTTARAKHAND STATE. RESPECT THE HILLS.

An amazing pahadi experience! This was my second time in Cafe Buransh, which us located in the beautifully quaint village of Saari a few metres from the Deoriatal trek route. They have pleasant and clean rooms with rustic looks resembling a vintage pahadi home, equpped with heaters for winters in case you feel too cold. The thing that makes it such a good place to stay, are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and warm which makes one feel you are home, i have to specially mention Rajani for her hospitality and Rakesh bhai for his yummy food...Rakesh bhai made Kerala chicken curry knowing that i am from Cochin!!!
Thanks for making our visit to Saari that much better, will come back for sure!

Wow, Cafe Buransh is truly a slice of magic tucked away in the mountains of Sari Village! The hosts are just brilliant—welcoming you in like you're old friends dropping by for a visit. And the food? Oh, you're in for a treat! Rakesh, the chef, serves up a Paneer dishes that’s nothing short of legendary. You've got to try it!
The homestay is perfectly positioned just a short 500-meter hike from the village road, plunging you straight into authentic village life. Make sure to spend an evening playing UNO with the hosts—it’s a blast and you’ll learn all about the incredible treks you can tackle nearby. And if you’re here to catch those stunning Deoria Tal sunrises, you couldn't pick a better spot. Trust me, this place is a winner!

If you're wondering whether Café Buransh is worth it—stop scrolling and just go. Stayed here for a week with 3 friends, and it was straight-up soul medicine.
Chef Rana Ji? An artist. Every meal he made had us shook. We thought we’d just be having basic hill-station food. Nah. Dude came through with flavor, love, and comfort on a plate.
Huge shoutout to Mahavadevan Ji and Rajani Ji too. They’re the kind of people that make you feel seen and taken care of. Genuinely kind humans who went out of their way to help us, guide us, and just be awesome.
The views? Unreal. The calm? Exactly what you dream of when you're stuck in traffic back home. It’s quiet in the best way possible. The kind of place where even your thoughts slow down.
Café Buransh isn't just a stay—it's an experience. Already plotting our return.
I still cannot get over the food, everything Rana ji touched, turned to GOLD.

Me and my daughter had a wonderful tour of Sari and did the Deoriatal and Chandrashila trek. While we stayed for 3 nights at Buransh, they did the entire itinerary including cab from Rishikesh, rafting at Rishikesh and stay at Deoriatal. Lovely team of genuine folks eager to ensure the guests have a good time and leave with happy memories. Highly recommended for anyone willing to hike a bit to reach the property and who want to stay close to nature. Both Deoriatal and Chandrashila treks can be done by children and beginners. The Sari village walk was a good experience too. All in all we had a great experience, all thanks to team Buransh.

The place is nestled amidst breathtaking mountains. Location offers stunning views of chopta Valley and sari village that you can enjoy right from the comfort of your room or the cozy balcony. The peaceful atmosphere makes it perfect retreat for anyone looking to escape the chaos of the city.
I specially travelled from London to this place as I had read about it and was impressed by the vision of the Owner for having sustainable eco friendly aspects about the homestay. This place is gem for anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and genuine hospitality.

A small trek from sari village takes you to this quiant little hill house with the most spectacular view of snow clad mountains and a hawks eye view of the pretty sari village. The environmentally and socially conscious owners are doing a great job in putting Sari village in the online tourist map. This is by far the best place to halt and unwind if you are planning a trek to Deorital Lake and beyond. By the way Sundar the local care taker was a great chef. His home cooked meals was a terrific complement to the scenic home like location up the hill. Above all Bhuli the little pup stole the show. The social pup escorted us while climbing up to Buransh cafe and even further up the hill when we visited the lovely Shiva temple. Also thanks to Buransh Cafe, we are now addicted to the local squash from buransh flower. We ended up getting a couple of bottles from ukhimath on our way back. Thanks for the memories. Will be back for a longer halt sometime.

Cafe Burash is an ideal place for a relaxed vacation with the family. The mountain view is amazing from the property. We thoroughly enjoyed their simple flavoured delicious pahadi food. It still lingers in the mouth :).
Nothing like sitting on your balcony and enjoying sipping a flavoured hot tea gazing at the mighty Himalayan peaks and lush green forest! Though we had been to mountains before, we never could experience a pahadi living so close. The stay was pleasant and the team would make sure that you are comfortable in every possible way. Also, the team is extremely child-friendly. I can still see the twinkle in my little one’s eyes when she speaks about the stay and people at Cafe Burash :)
On the foot hills there is this beautiful Sari village and up trek from Cafe Burash there is the picturesque Deoriotal. Chopta is a small drive away with Tunganath- Chandrasila trek with the most mesmerising view of Burash flowers (Rhododendrons). What more could you ask for!

I just fell in love with this place. The views are majestic. If you love simple rustic and offbeat vibe do spend a couple of nights atleast here for a total digital detox . The staff and owners were very courteous and always trying the best to make the stay comfortable. As a trekker I really like the philosophy of green and sustainence promoted by the . We were prepared well in advance about how they believe in delivering a sustainable and green stay and hence we were mindful of leaving a low carbon footprint behind. The place is on the way to Deoriataal so you can easily trek and come back. Then you also have option to visit Tunganath and Chandrashila which is short drive from here. They offer wifi so remote working is a great option too. I visited with family and my kids also had a great time experiencing serene nature away from digital screens. The food options were limited but very fresh prepration. I will visit it for sure again . Mahadev and his staff were great hosts 👍

We had visited Cafe Buransh in May 2025 for pahadi thali after trekking at Deoriatal. Although we came here only for food, the over-all experience with everyone here was great. Everyone was warm and friendly. Rajani also helped us with the logistics and recommendations on how to plan for Chandrashila and Deoriatal trek, gave us contact numbers of drivers and although she was not there at the property when we visited, she ensured that we had great food. I would definitely be looking forward to be back here when I get a chance to visit the region again!
~ PARTH K
We found this place on our way to Deoriatal lake, decided to stay for a day and loved everything about it. The room was beautiful, cosy and warm (had a heater and hot water), which was so amazing to have in such a remote place in the mountains. The food was fresh made, local and de-li-cious. We loved it so much. The view from the cafe and the terrace outside the room is so beautiful. They also have yoga mats, a nice selection of books and two lovely dogs to keep you company :) The owner and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We’d love to come back!

It was such a nice stay, close to nature. The rooms, beds, towels, mat, bottles, decor everything was top-class but very minimal. They maintain good quality for every thing. Waking up in such a place will make you feel relaxed for sure. Service is so good, they understand and try to customize everything accordingly. Manager and owners all are very well behaved, friendly. My kid loved the place, he played, he read book from their small library and we had Buransh Juice and Chai while enjoying the hills, the greens and the silence.

For trekkers, Cafe Buransh will be best place to stay. The folks are very friendly and we were taken care so well. My daughter fell sick and they proactively cooked some light food for her which helped in her quick recovery. We enjoyed the evening gathering at the restaurant and were served delicious food. Many thanks to Chef Rakesh. Should also thank Randeep and Appu for always keeping us so comfortable and happy. Thanks to Rithvik for the great room service. My family had a great time! Thank you so much "Team Cafe Buransh".

The property and the experience is unparalleled.
Mahadevan attended to all our needs with the biggest smile, he has established a new benchmark for hospitality for a boutique stay. The kitchen team preps few items but all of them are delicious, no excess oil or added flavourings, just fresh produce.
The bigger rooms offer you a bit more privacy from the noise of trekkers, but all the rooms are super cosy and clean.
Highlight of the stay was meeting Luna and Simba.
Hope I get to visit Cafe Buransh soon.
~ Janhavi K
Cafe buransh is a lifetime memory that will always tempt me to relive it.
Situated in a quiet village of Sari, the location is beautiful on a cliff. Its next to a Shiva temple that became my ritual to visit every morning and evening.
the food is clean , healthy cooked to yr choice.
the hosts are warm, welcoming and willing to share and help.
overall, a great experience to get away from city life , sit back for some introspection and work on health.

A totally out of the world experience, home away from home…and a place I would like to make my home if possible. A very warm and hospitable family run home, right from Rakesh Bhaiya, Rajini, Simba, Mahadevan and Randeep, we just felt so taken care of.
Devariya tal is just a hike away, views are awesome. Very good guidance to the Tungnath trek.
The pahadi dining experience, food, village school, something to cherish for a lifetime.
Kudos to all of you at Buransh cafe. We are coming again soon.
~ Suman S
location and view from homestay is amazing . located around 500mtrs ahead from the deoria taal trek start gate towards lake, so next morning we have to cover less distance and witnessed the sunrise.
Rooms are luxury consideringthe remote location and aesthetically decorated. had running hot water facility.
coming to food: they prepared dinner as per my request( Dal khichri/ onion pakora/ papod/ jeera alloo / egg bhurji etc) and all tastes very good.
had a wonderful stay in my solo trip.

We have stayed at Cafe Buransh few times over the past 5 years. Super friendly staff and Hosts, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are Top Notch set in the local pahari Decor theme.
The food served is sumptuous and made with love. The property is located about 400 meters on the Deoria Tal trail. certainly the best property to put in the area.
The location of the place offers endless options for day hikes , spotting local wildlife.

One of the most memorable holidays of my life! The spectacular view from the Home was so beautiful that we spent one day without going anywhere and soaked in the amphitheater like feeling you get sitting in front of the rooms or the Cafe.
The host Randeep was so helpful and gave us a guided trek to Deoria Tal and made arrangements for our visits to Ukhimath and Tungnath.
I would love to return soon! Thank you Cafe Buransh team for such a wonderful holiday.

Unforgettable Stay at Cafe Buransh
I recently had the most incredible stay at Cafe Buransh in Sari village, Uttarakhand. The village itself is remarkable with beautiful valleys, snow capped mountain views and a lovely vibe.
From the moment we arrived, we were received with the warmest hospitality by team Buransh.
The rooms were impeccably maintained, clean, and incredibly cozy, providing the perfect sanctuary after a long day of travelling. The views from the property were simply breathtaking, offering stunning panoramas of the surrounding mountains.
But what truly made our stay special were the hosts. They were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their guidance on local treks was invaluable, and we had the privilege of experiencing the beauty of the local Pahadi life firsthand.
And let's not forget the food! The 100% organic meals were not only delicious but also a feast for the senses.
Cafe Buransh is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable experience in Uttarakhand.
